Troj-FakeAV-FYS is detected as fake antivirus by Sophos on September 2, 2010. This malicious piece of program has been classified into the category of Trojan Horse also known by common aliases as Trojan.Generic.KD.717035 while some of the other variants of this group of Trojan include Troj/JavaBz-IG, Troj/FakeAV-FYT, Troj/Agent-XQC. This Trojan present itself as legitimate antivirus software but actually it is a fake scanner designed by hackers to earn money from innocent users. Once inside the PC, it modifies system registry and load its exe files to at startup so that you can't use any application to remove Trojan. It disable task manager and literally blocks you from doing any thing on your computer. So, it is advised to delete Troj-FakeAV-FYS immediately as soon as detected.
